President's Message

Marie Johnson, CMP

It is a privilege to serve as your MPI-WI Chapter President, and I am truly grateful to all of our members for the opportunity to give back to an organization that has given me so much. Also, I want to thank and recognize our team of volunteer leaders for their time and talents. They are an amazing group of individuals.

We have another busy and exciting year planned. Our vision is to position the MPI-WI Chapter as the premier association in the state dedicated to the growth, development and success of meeting and event professionals. We will achieve this through our mission of bringing industry professionals together to learn best practices, build relationships, and enhance business opportunities.

It is often said that life’s most difficult challenges often prove to be the best teachers. That certainly rings true as the past couple of years have taught us many lessons about ourselves, our companies, and our industry. We learned that the world needed to hear our message, and more importantly, it needed to be delivered with one voice. Meetings Matter! What we do each and every day matters!

So fittingly, this year’s theme is Partnering in Each Other’s Success.

• We believe we are stronger together than we are individually.
• We will advocate for the advancement of our profession and our industry.
• We will share information and learn best practices from one another.
• We will pursue opportunities with other MPI chapters and industry-related associations.

Our chapter’s success is in direct proportion to the success of members – it truly is a partnership. I encourage you to take advantage of all that MPI has to offer and let us know how we can continue to contribute to your personal and professional success!
