The upcoming MPI year presents our Chapter with such great opportunities! As you read this, there are teams and volunteers who are working on so many exciting things!
For just the very briefest of snapshots, here’s a high overview of some volunteer actions:
The Communications Division is continuing to produce great newsletters and will continue to add upgrades to the recently redesigned website. Any suggestions to add effective enhancements to the Agenda newsletter or website are welcome.
Finance is continuously reviewing expenditures and collecting receivables to ensure top value for every MPI dollar. They are also in the initial planning stages of the 2010 Golf Outing.
Our Membership Teams are in contact with new members and working to retain new members. There is also an Awards Team who is working to put together a spectacular Gala to celebrate all our efforts.
The Education Division is doing a wonderful job putting together great education opportunities for the entire year. And many volunteers are working on the Midwest Fall Education Conference, an opportunity that joins our efforts with the Minnesota Chapter.
All these efforts make a wonderful lead to our theme for the MPI-Wisconsin Chapter for the 2009 to 2010 year: “Step Up!” It is defined as “To take action with our Chapter; To make it happen for our Chapter.”
To the many of our members making that Step Up and volunteering, THANK YOU! Our Chapter could not be successful without your efforts!
For those who are still considering the Step Up, please know that we would love to include your efforts to support our Chapter as well. There are opportunities which require a minimal time investment.
Perhaps you haven’t been to a meeting for a while – please come and join us! If you’re using a new tool in your work place or are trying out a new methodology, write an article for the Agenda Newsletter – we’d love to hear about it!
You may want to recommend a speaker to the Education team or donate a raffle prize for a fund raiser. Or you can join one of our great teams – please check out the complete listing of opportunities on the “Get Involved” tab on this web site and find a role that’s right for you.
For myself, I am honored to lead beside my very talented peers on the Board of Directors. I am ready to volunteer side-by-side, along my fellow members.
I will Step Up! Won’t you join me?
