The MPI-Wisconsin Chapter member grant is
funded at $500. The funds can be used at the
discretion of the recipient for MPI-Wisconsin
membership dues and/or registration fees for
the following professional development activities:
MPI's MeetDifferent Conference (formerly PEC),
North America and PEC-Europe Conference, Annual
Conference, MPI Institutes, and Certified Meeting
Professional (CMP) exam or the Certification
in Meeting Management (CMM) exam (including
study courses and payment for books and learning
materials). Selection of the Grant Recipients
and distribution of the grant funds will take
place in August, 2009. The grant recipients
will be formally announced at the September
17, 2009 Awards Banquet.
Criteria for Eligibility
Any individual who is a current member of
MPI-Wisconsin and has been a member for at
least one year at the date of the application
deadline may apply. The previous year's winner
is not eligible to apply.
Application Process
A complete application package consists of:
- An online Member Grant
Application form.
- A narrative describing the applicant's
contribution to MPI-Wisconsin, why the applicant
deserves the grant, and how the grant will
benefit the member and MPI-Wisconsin. The
narrative must be typed, double-spaced, and
not to exceed 500 words.

be considered incomplete until all items have
been received.
The deadline for
application was Friday,
June 4, 2010.
Disbursement of Funds
Funds are available during the MPI-Wisconsin
fiscal year that begins July 1 and ends June
30. Funds may be used for dues and activities
incurred during the fiscal year. Receipts and
proof of attendance will be submitted to the
MPI-Wisconsin administrative office. Following
approval, the treasurer will issue payment
within two weeks.
Additional Requirement
During the following program year the recipient
is required to submit at least one article
for publication in the MPI-Wisconsin newsletter.
The article must pertain to the educational
value of the grant.
