2011 Grant Recipients

Congratulations to Michelle Eggert, CMP, Tina Jacobson, CMP, Jillian Schroeder and Janet Sperstad, CMP for being the recipients of the MPI-WI Member Grant!

 

The MPI-Wisconsin Chapter member grant is funded at up to $500.  Based upon membership need, multiple grant awards may be awarded for lesser amounts up to a total of $500 in grant awards.   The funds can be used at the discretion of the recipient for:

• MPI membership dues
• Registration fees for MPI conferences (either MPI Conferences or Monthly Chapter Events!)
• Other professional development activities including:
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) exam or the Certification in Meeting Management (CMM) exam (including study courses and payment for books and learning materials).
  • Have another professional development idea?  Tell us about it in your application and narrative!

Criteria for Eligibility

Any individual who is a current member of MPI-Wisconsin and has been a member for at least one year at the date of the application deadline may apply. The previous year's winner is not eligible to apply.

 

Application Process

A complete application package consists of:

1. This online Member Grant Application form.
2. A narrative describing the applicant's contribution to MPI-Wisconsin, why the applicant deserves the grant, and how the grant will benefit the member and MPI-Wisconsin. The narrative must be typed, double-spaced, and not to exceed 500 words.

The application package will be considered incomplete until all items have been received.
The deadline for application will be announced in 2012.

 

Disbursement of Funds

Funds will be sent directly to the Grant winner within 4 weeks of announcement.

 

Additional Requirement

During the following program year the recipient is required to submit at least one article for publication in the MPI-Wisconsin newsletter. The article must pertain to the educational value of the grant.
