Committees

Make the most of your association membership by being involved - and one of the best ways to do this is by joining one of our chapter’s dynamic committees. Our MPI-WI Chapter is one of the most forward-thinking, active chapters of Meeting Professionals International and offers opportunities on many different committees- one of which is sure to be a great fit for you.

As an MPI-WI member, you are eligible to participate on one or several committees. Committee roles are for one-year terms, from July through June, corresponding to the chapter's fiscal year.  If you are interested in joining a committee or would like more information, please contact Susan Kainz at leadership@mpiwi.org.

The Membership Committee focuses on contacting new and current members and administering the Ambassadors. They also work in conjunction with the Special Events team on the Awards Banquet. The subcommittees within Membership include:

Education

The Education Committee is responsible for producing the monthly chapter meetings and the two Education Days held each year. Subcommittees within Education include:

Monthly Education Meetings (October, January, February, March, April)
Education Days (November, May)
Women’s Leadership Initiative
Multicultural Initiative
CMP and CMM Chapter Champions

Communication

Vice President: Marie Johnson, CMP

Planner Director: Alison Huber

The Communications Committee focuses on the public relations, community outreach, and chapter communications via the newsletter and the website. The subcommittees within Communications include:

Finance

Vice President: Tina Luther
Supplier Director: Carmen Smalley Schaer

The Finance Committee is responsible for overseeing three special events held each year, chapter fundraising and strategic marketing. The subcommittees within Finance include:
