MPI-WI Presents the Chapter Education & Fundraiser - Meeting Professionals: A Day in the Life - Wellness Through Laughter

Corporate America is embracing the fact that healthier employees are more productive employees, and that happiness and laughter are an integral part of any wellness plan. If you or your company could use a productivity lift, or just a cure to the winter blues, attend February's chapter education day where we will explore the idea of “Wellness through laughter”.

Attend the Free Wellness Workshops from 1:00pm to 2:00pm during registration and you will have a chance to win one of two 18 holes of golf at Erin Hills* in Hartford, WI.  To be eligible for the drawing, you must register no later than 1:15pm.

* Erin Hills, regarded by experts as one of the best natural sites for a golf course in the United States, features rolling fairways peppered with eskers and drumlins sculpted thousands of years ago by glaciers. Designers kept the course as pristine as possible with the green sites remaining virtually untouched and dirt only moved on four of the course's eighteen holes.

Meeting Professionals: A Day In the Life

Program Description:
Join us at this February’s meeting as Chicago-based The Riot Act provides an innovative forum for some much needed talk therapy for the meeting professional community. In this session, audience members work collectively with The Riot Act improvisational performance team to surface “of-the-moment” professional issues and challenges. You’ll laugh (try not to cry) as we discuss practical solutions, each yielding different outcomes as demonstrated by the performance team. Come prepared to share your thoughts and learn proven strategies for even greater success.

After attending this session, you will be able to:

Take away a deeper understanding of current challenges and solutions, insight into their peer’s (and often client’s) most pressing issues, and a shared sense of perspective on professional concerns.

About The Riot Act
The Riot Act’s innovative services put an interactive spin on meeting content delivery. In “Take 2!”, their signature offering, a series of realistic vignettes are performed for an audience as a springboard for conversation and learning from within. The Riot Act’s team of skilled improvisational performers works to play and then re-play realistic professional scenes, incorporating live audience feedback with often unexpected results. Thoughtful audience discussion coupled with intelligent comedic relief provides a welcome perspective on professional challenges.

Since its inception in 2005, The Riot Act has been performing for some of our nation’s most successful global organizations. A unique fusion of management consulting and theatrical improv, Riot Acts are known for their intelligent delivery style and keen ability to surface real issues from a crowd. As a result, The Riot Act’s meeting sessions create dynamic audience experiences that educate, inspire, and entertain.

Laura Stoll, President and Founder of The Riot Act, is the current Membership Co-Chair for MPI-CAC.
