Emergent Technologies for the Meeting Professional
This presentation will focus on emergent technologies that will shape the future of meetings and events. There are many new terminologies such as RSS feeds, wikis & blogs, and podcasts that some planners might be aware, but even as we meet today these are becoming old terminologies and technologies. The Internet is changing, computer systems are changing, how we interface with our computers is changing and the world has gone mobile. What does all this mean for our industry? What are the new technologies of the future? This presentation will provide an overview of new and emerging technologies that will shape our industry today and for the years ahead.
After attending this session, participants will be able to:
- Describe how the internet and computer systems are changing.
- Identify some new emerging technologies of the future and understand how to use them to impact your meetings.
- Use internet tools to stay informed of new technologies today and tomorrow.
