The MPI-Wisconsin Chapter member grant is
funded at $1,000 (two $500 grants). The funds can be used
at the discretion of the recipient for MPI-Wisconsin membership
dues and/or registration fees for the following professional
development activities: MPI's Professional Education Conference
(PEC), North America and PEC-Europe Conference, Annual
Conference, MPI Institutes, and Certified Meeting Professional
(CMP) exam or the Certification in Meeting Management
(CMM) exam (including study courses and payment for books
and learning materials). Selection of the Grant Recipients and distribution of the grant funds will take place in August, 2008. The grant recipients will be formally announced at the September 11, 2008 Awards Banquet.
Any individual who is a current member of
MPI-Wisconsin and has been a member for at least one year
at the date of the application deadline may apply. The
previous year's winner is not eligible to apply.
A complete application package consists
of:
- This online Member Grant Application form.
- A narrative describing the applicant's contribution
to MPI-Wisconsin, why the applicant deserves the grant,
and how the grant will benefit the member and MPI-Wisconsin.
The narrative must be typed, double-spaced, and not to
exceed 500 words.

The application package will be considered
incomplete until all items have been received.
The
deadline for application is Friday, June 20, 2008.
Funds are available during the MPI-Wisconsin
fiscal year that begins July 1 and ends June 30. Funds
may be used for dues and activities incurred during the
fiscal year. Receipts and proof of attendance will be
submitted to the MPI-Wisconsin administrative office.
Following approval, the treasurer will issue payment within
two weeks.
During the following program year the recipient
is required to submit at least one article for publication
in the MPI-Wisconsin newsletter. The article must pertain
to the educational value of the grant.
