Take A Snow Day!

Everyone will agree that the world has changed dramatically in the last couple of years, and as the world changed around us, as meeting professionals, we did everything that we could to make sure that we were prepared for handling the changes in travel procedures. In the process of adapting to these changes, it is possible that other aspects of our safety have become second thoughts for us in our
travels.

Detective Kevin Coffey understands that the travel and tourism industry responsibilities need a broader and deeper focus on safety. Corporations, meeting planners and tourism industry suppliers are changing how they incorporate safety into their policies and practices. Most meeting professionals find our about safety issues after it’s too late! Laptop and LCD projector thefts, hotel room thefts and violent crime are growing threats to meeting attendees. As a meeting professional, what steps have you taken to safeguard against these liability-laden issues? Travel and Safety expert Kevin Coffey addresses these new concerns providing information, which the industry can quickly and efficiently implement within their organizations.

After the Program

It’s not often that MPI offers a Families Welcome meeting. With this in mind, we are excited to invite all MPI WI members to take a snow day and join us for an evening on the slopes at Granite Peak Ski Area. This state of the art facility offers 72 runs, a 700-foot vertical drop and fantastic skiing for all ages and skill levels. $18 lift tickets will be available as well as deep discounts for the entire family all weekend long. Lift tickets are available www.skigranitepeak.com.

If skiing is not on your agenda, stay inside Granite Peak spacious chalet and experience a taste of Wausau, play along with Brian West or enter your family and friends in the first annual WI-MPI snow castle building contest.

We have found the cure for cabin fever and it’s located in Wausau. Register early and pack your family for a play in the snow date!!
