Meeting Professionals International - Wisconsin
Chapter recognizes the need to encourage and support individuals
pursuing careers in the hospitality industry. Our annual
$500 student scholarship, now renamed the Kristin Bjurstrom
Krueger Scholarship is available for students enrolled
in a course of study in the hospitality field at an accredited
college. The funds will be distributed directly to the
college in two payments of $250 each (at the beginning
of the fall semester and the following January). |

The student scholarshipis available to any
person currently enrolled in a course of study in the
hospitality field at an accredited college. The applicant
must carry a minimum of six credits per semester and maintain
a minimum grade point average of 3.25. Scholarship recipients
may re-apply in future years provided they continue to
meet the eligibility criteria. This scholarship is available
to any student attending a Wisconsin college. |

An essay on the topic "Why I Want to
Work in the Hospitality Industry." The essay must
be typed, double-spaced and not exceed 500 words. |

One letter of reference from a teacher or
an employer. |

A transcript that identifies courses of
study and grade point average. |

The application package will be considered
incomplete until all items have been received. The
deadline for application is Friday, April 8, 2005. |

During the following program year (August
- July), the winner is required to submit two articles
to the MPI-WI Chapter newsletter. One article must be
a personal profile and the second must be of educational
content. |
